Presidents Day started as a festival of George Washington (the official name is still Washington’s Birthday–the name “Presidents Day” was an advertising ploy of the 1980s) and falls on the third Monday of February. Washington’s real birthday was February 22nd and initially the day was commended right now, however, Americans feel weak at the knees over extended weekends so it was balanced in like manner. When we observe Presidents Day at my home we, for the most part, concentrate just on Washington, somewhat to keep it basic and incompletely in light of the fact that he’s the most outstanding man and president in our nation’s history. Washington is a man I truly need my youngsters to copy.
